Moment ‘drunk and abusive’ man is detained by 4 hero passengers

This is the second a ‘drunk and abusive’ man is detained by 4 passengers onboard an eight-hour flight.

The incident occurred on a JetBlue flight from Gatwick Airport to New York JFK on January 30.

The video confirmed a gaggle of Brits, who stepped in to assist the airline employees calm the person down, wrestle to restrain him.

The clip then confirmed the group standing within the slender gangway as they knocked into seats, with different passengers recording the footage on their mobiles. 

As the person tried to flee from them, one stated: ‘Right take him down.’ The girl stated: ‘No’ after which began sobbing.

The group managed to limit him and moved him down the aircraft aisle, in the direction of two cabin crew members.

One passenger stated: ‘Jesus Christ,’ While one other exclaimed: ‘What the f***.’

Another man appeared to try to reassure somebody and stated: ‘Don’t fear I’m proper right here.’

Witness Grant Saunders, who works as a hypnotist, was on the flight and stated: ‘The males from the again of the aircraft got here down to help.

‘They ultimately tackled him to the ground. I felt sorry for aged {couples} who have been sitting round the place it was taking place. 

The lads obtained a spherical of applause as they left.’

Mr Saunders claimed the person was ‘drunk and getting loud and aggressive’ while shifting round different seats on the flight.

‘Then he began wandering concerning the aisle, the crew requested him to take a seat in his seat and he then began getting aggressive.’

The flight took off from Gatwick at 11.55am and arrived on time at 8.16pm GMT on Tuesday. 

Another passenger, referred to as Nick, stated: ‘They managed to restrain him and stop the flight from being diverted and inflicting main disruption to the passengers and crew.

‘Due to their courageous and good efforts, the flight landed with out additional incident.

‘They have to be recognised by the airline.’

JetBlue has been approached for remark.
