Tesla sparks layoff fears amidst widespread jobs layoff

Fears of a jobs massacre at Tesla are brewing after managers had been reportedly requested to determine which of their employees’ jobs had been essential.

The electrical car producer has cancelled some staff’ biannual efficiency opinions and requested managers to make an evaluation of their deputies’ roles, sources informed Bloomberg. 

It comes after a collection of layoff bulletins from companies together with Snapchat proprietor Snap, Macy’s and Estée Lauder Companies.

Billionaire CEO Elon Musk has not too long ago positioned an emphasis on cost-cutting at Tesla amidst a marked slowdown of its gross sales progress.

Tesla’s inventory has slumped round 24 % in 2024 after the agency fell in need of its 50 % annual gross sales progress goal.
