Video of a police officer apparently shoving a excessive schooler at a Mardi Gras parade in New Orleans has ruffled some feathers on-line and domestically. 

Brandon Mitchell, a pupil at a neighborhood constitution college, was marching with the L.B. Landry High School band at Thursday night’s Krewe of Muses parade – one of many largest of the season.

There seems to be a tense trade earlier than the band begins transferring once more and Mitchell and his buddy transfer on.

Tiffany Jones, Mitchell’s mom, informed a native outlet her son didn’t deserve the aggressive conduct from the unnamed officer, and described him as a considerate buddy and rule-follower.

She confirmed her son and his pals have been in shock over the conduct.

Algiers Charters, which oversees L.B. Landry High School, launched an announcement expressing disappointment within the perceived conduct of the officer on the parade.

‘However, we commend our college students for his or her restraint and refusal to interact in adverse conduct. This incident underscores the significance of the battle decision classes we impart to our college students.’

The division has reportedly already opened an investigation into the incident and has communicated to the varsity that the method is being strictly adhered to.
