Seven different members of the gang have already been handed jail sentences or suspended sentences.  

Police caught the gang after a motorcycle was stolen in November 2020, and tracked down  to a warehouse in East London.

From the warehouse, City of London Police recovered 57 bikes. Further investigations of CCTV footage confirmed the bike thieves coming into the warehouse every day and a number of the defendants have been seen on safety footage dismantling the bikes.

Baldwin was seen on the footage handing over angle grinders, a typical instrument used to steal bikes, to the thieves.

An additional 21 bikes have been recovered from Akram’s house tackle and police have to this point returned greater than 20 of the bikes to their homeowners.
