The Metropolitan Police have cleared a pro-Palestinian protest tonight and arrested one campaigner.

Crowds of protestors gathered on Whitehall, reverse to Downing Street waving Palestinian flags and holding posters.

Officers attended the world as a security measure and closed roads close by as a result of excessive variety of protestors.

Later on, in an extra publish, the Metropolitan Police mentioned on Twitter/X: ‘All remaining protesters have now left the world and officers are standing down.

The excessive variety of protesters earlier this night led to the Met shutting down the southbound carriageway ranging from Horse Guards Avenue to Parliament Square.

Whitehall northbound additionally closed from Parliament Square to Horse Guards Avenue. 

Previously closed Whitehall has since been reopened for site visitors.
