Two boys aged 13 and 14 have been arrested after three Range Rovers have been stolen in a single evening.

The youngsters have been arrested and quizzed by police after Northumbria Police deployed a helicopter to pursue one of many costly Evoque fashions from Heaton, Newcastle to Wallsend.

The automobiles have been all reported stolen from the Heaton and High Heaton Areas of Newcastle at round 11pm on Sunday night, the pressure stated.

Officers on patrol then noticed the third stolen car travelling on Chillingham Road within the Heaton space on Monday night.

Officers pursued the car with the help of colleagues from the National Police Air Service (NPAS) and a helicopter.

It was stopped within the Malton Gardens space of Wallsend, and two males, aged 14 and 13, have been then arrested on suspicion of theft of a motorized vehicle, police stated.

It is known they have been arrested on suspicion of theft of 1 the automobiles, not all three.

The pair have been launched on police bail pending additional enquiries.

Inspector Craig Patchett, of Northumbria Police, stated: ‘We know that car crime can have a major affect on the communities which we serve – with opportunistic thieves searching for a fast win.
