The Sky Sports pundit defined how he was left surprised when Alonso advised on the time head coach Rafa Benitez methods to enhance the Liverpool crew as quickly as he arrived. Carragher, who performed within the 2005 Champions League last alongside Alonso, went on so as to add: “We used to speak a lot about football. He was always someone who was interested in football and he did watch a lot of football.”
