After the hearth, neighbour Phil Sommereux, a retired dentist, 64, who lives reverse, stated: ‘We had been watching a movie when my spouse stood up and stated she may see flames and we realised it was a home on hearth. 

‘I went over there to see if I may assist. We did not know if anybody was trapped. I referred to as the hearth brigade on my means over. Luckily all people was out and the hearth brigade was there.

‘It was fairly dramatic. It’s actually very upsetting for the homeowners who’ve been there for about 35 years.

‘The hearth had ripped by way of the roof. It was fully sudden. We clearly really feel very sorry for the homeowners.

‘It was fairly spectacular. I count on there might be numerous help for them.’
