Raj Binder stated: “All these pieces of wood and drawers start falling out onto the road. There was a woman with a child behind the lorry who narrowly avoided it all falling onto her car.

“It was only when the door slammed into the lamppost he realised something was wrong.

Mr Binder said the near miss happened shortly before midday on Monday and after realising the doors were open the driver got out, locked them up and left shortly after.
