Former Manchester United winger Andrei Kanchelskis has recalled how he was hilariously pranked into telling Sir Alex Ferguson to “f*** off”.
The ex-Russia worldwide joined United from Shakhtar Donetsk in 1991. He made 150 appearances and received two titles below Ferguson, together with the primary ever Premier League marketing campaign.

“I said this bad thing to Sir Alex Ferguson. He was red-faced and said ‘what?’. Then he understood what had happened and everybody laughed.
“George Scanlan was the interpreter for me and Eric Cantona as a result of he spoke Russian and French. He mentioned: ‘Andrei, subsequent time do not say this’. Of course, I by no means did it once more after that.”
Kanchelskis’ former clubs are set to face off in Sunday’s Manchester Derby, with City looking to defend their Premier League crown. While he makes it clear the rivalry between the sides was not the same as it is today during his playing days, he insists he would never have moved from one to another.
