Pro-Palestine activists slash historic portray of Lord Balfour

Pro-Palestine protesters have destroyed a portray of Lord Balfour at Trinity College Cambridge.

Protest group Palestine Action shared a video of a demonstrator slashing the portrait and spraying it with pink paint.

A girl is seen on the footage defacing the portray with a pointy object, and spraying paint from a can over Balfour’s face. 

The Conservative politician gave his title to the Balfour Declaration – a public assertion issued by the British authorities to create a ‘nationwide residence for the Jewish folks’ in Palestine, paving the way in which for the founding of Israel in 1948.

The declaration, made in 1917, was contained inside a letter from Balfour to Lord Rothschild, a British Jewish chief.
