‘Capello was Mr Trunchbull at England – we beat weight loss plan by munching on McDonalds’
Fabio Capello is a terrifying man, however some within the England camp handled him higher than others.

“The diet thing was crazy; coming down for breakfast with everyone being used to having scrambled egg on toast with butter, to then be told we weren’t allowed the butter… it felt like I was 15 again,” the 37-year-old completely informed Ladbrokes Fanzone.
“One funny story came about seven days into international duty, the lads were all just a bit fed up of his ways. Stuck in our hotel and I got a text from one of the lads telling me to go to this room. I walk in, and I’ve never seen so much McDonald’s in one of the bedrooms! There was enough ketchup to feed the whole hotel, there was fizzy pop. A lot of the senior players were in there as well, just munching on McDonald’s.”

Capello, now 77, took over the Three Lions in 2008 following Steve McClaren’s departure.
