The ECHO reached out to the pub chain, and JD Wetherspoon’s spokesperson Eddie Gershon mentioned immediately: “We are aware of the incident outside the Richard John Blackler on Saturday, March 9, which arose when a customer left the pub carrying a glass bottle, after having been advised to leave the bottle inside by the door supervisor.”

He additionally talked about: “Pending an internal investigation into the incident, Wetherspoon has informed the company which provides door staff to The Richard John Blackler that the member of the door security team involved will not be employed at the company’s premises.”
