Carla, 42, advised us: “All this Kate Middleton talk of AI and retouching… I don’t see the big deal. I always Photoshop my pictures and ones of my children.

“Tanisha (her eldest daughter) is always photoshopped and Blu (youngest daughter) and even though I cover her face I always Photoshop her.

“And if I send a picture of the family, hell yeah we are all Photoshopped. I wouldn’t dream of sending a natural shot. Who would when technology is so good?

“I think people should lay off and get in the modern world. I get so much crap because of using FaceApp but I couldn’t care less – it is what it is.”

The viral picture, which confirmed the mum hugging her three kids, was posted on the official Prince and Princess of Wales Instagram web page – however enhancing errors have been rapidly noticed.

“It’s not because I’m not confident or I hate the way I look. It’s simple – if I can look better then why not use the tools because technology is now amazing. People need to lay off Kate and let her be.”
