House Republican Infighting Badly Cuts Attendance At Annual GOP Event: Reports

Republicans are avoiding the annual House GOP retreat in droves due to dissension of their ranks, CNN reported Tuesday.

Not even 100 confirmed their attendance ― lower than half of those that occupy the GOP aspect of the aisle ― an unnamed supply who’s “familiar with the attendance sheet” informed the cable information channel.

The retreat begins Wednesday on the Greenbrier resort in West Virginia, lacking outstanding House members Matt Gaetz (Fla.), Nancy Mace (SC), Tim Burchett (Tenn.), Mark Green (Tenn.) and plenty of others, CNN reported. The authentic keynote speaker, Fox News’ Larry Kudlow, dropped out on the final minute.

USA Today reported that many members who are usually not attending have been “harboring frustration and exhaustion at the infighting that has locked down the party’s ability to govern.”
