‘I like being a trophy spouse – however you want guidelines in place to make it work’

A woman admitted she’s proud to be a trophy wife as there’s no harm permitting your hubby is also a prize.

Sara Cheek, from Florida, US, has a lot to stay when it comes to stereotypes about relationships. The mum-of-four thinks too many women believe falsehoods about their marriage.

Recently she said it’s “easy to be a trophy wife when you have a trophy husband”. As well as this, she claimed it all comes down to how we live our lives and the choices we make.

She told The Sun: “I didn’t desire to marry for a guy to provide for me. I can and will provide for myself, so I desired a guy that would love me and be my best friend. When you go at it with that mindset, the type you pick is different.

“So yes I consider myself a trophy wife because I don’t sit at home, and expect my husband to bring me home a pay check, pick out my car, go on business trips, while I sit at home and watch The Bachelor.

“My ideology is different, it’s intimidating, and it’s rare. Just like an MVP trophy, not everyone gets one because they don’t possess what it takes. If more women were willing to flip the script on society, they would be a lot happier in chasing love versus a lifestyle.”

Sara also noted she has sons, and admitted she’d be “devastated” for them if they married a girl who wanted someone to provide for her. Her son isn’t a job, he’s a human, and she thinks this is important.

Previously the mum also admitted how she works out for 14 hours a week. She’s determined to stay in shape after having her children.

As well as this, she encouraged other women to rid their “hideous” granny pants and show off their bods. She thinks it’s important for women to love themselves, and feel good in their own skin.

She added: “You aren’t a bad mum for wanting to be fit or look sexy in a bikini. Do whatever you have to do to make yourself happy at what you see in the mirror.

“A happy mum is a good mum. It took me four years to finally get my pre-baby body back. I’ve got stretch marks but nobody cares.”

Back in March Sara also spoke to the Daily Star about how becoming a glamorous model resulted in wealth she once thought unimaginable for her family.

Her dramatic career switch was inspired after her hair business was closed in the pandemic – and it paid off as she was recently named in FHM’s 100 Sexiest Women in the World.
