Ryan Garcia points response after drug take a look at outcome throws Haney lead to doubt
Boxing sensation Ryan Garcia has fired back at drug test allegations following his fight against Devin Haney.
Reports have indicated that Garcia, 25, tested positive for performance enhancing drug Ostarine on April 19, and then again after the fight, calling his victory into question. After the news emerged on Wednesday, Garcia took to social media to protest his innocence and deny the claims made against him.
Garcia has suggested the use of a herbal supplement may be to blame for the findings. After postings on X, Garcia shared two photos of vegan substance he takes.

In a flurry of Insta activity, Garcia flashed a couple of pics of a vegan concoction he’s been guzzling, hinting it could’ve skewed the pee test.
“My bad I shouldn’t have took this,” Garcia said, alongside two snaps of Ashwagandha Root, a plant-based chill pill. The green liquid capsules are a stress support supplement, however, the product label states that it has not been evaluated by the drugs administration.

The bottle revealed its contents: organic Ashwagandha root, Ashwagandha root extract, veggie glycerin, H2O, and a vegan shell. Garcia’s now has ten days to fund and organise a test of Sample B to clear his innocence, reports the Mirror.
Garcia stunned the boxing world by defeating the previously unbeaten Haney on April 20, not only handing the 31-0 fighter his first professional loss but also sending him to the canvas for the first time in his career.
Tipping the scales at 3.2 pounds over the 140-pound limit, Garcia faced a hefty fine, shelling out £1.2 million to Haney post-fight as per their pre-bout wager, which stipulated a £400,000 penalty per pound over the weight.
Although he missed the weight, meaning he couldn’t snag Haney’s WBC super lightweight belt, Garcia still walked away with the victory. Shocked by doping allegations, Garcia immediately took to X to defend himself, bringing close pals into the mix to vouch for him.
“I don’t even know how to get steroids, I don’t even know what they look like,” Garcia protested during the space. His mates rallied around him, insisting they’ve been with him round the clocK.
Garcia didn’t stop there; he hit back with a video response to the accusations. “Everybody knows that I don’t cheat…why didn’t this come out before if they found it before? Why would they let me step into the ring as a cheater?
“These are people who are trying to attack me for whatever reason, but no weapon against me shall prosper.”
