Postecoglou snaps ‘come on mate, need me to jot down you a file’ publish Spurs loss
Tottenham gaffer Ange Postecoglou was left fuming after a Sky Sports reporter quizzed him following a shambolic 2-0 defeat to Chelsea.
The Aussie boss didn’t mince his words, after Spurs ‘ top-four dreams took a massive hit. He admitted: “It wasn’t good enough and I have to take responsibility for that, it is on me.
“I am the manager and I am the one putting them out there and it was not good enough. When we put in a performance like we did in the first half it meant my message wasn’t getting through.”

But when pressed on what exactly went pear-shaped, Postecoglou lost his rag, retorting: “Come on mate, we didn’t play well, do you want me to write you a dossier of where it went wrong? I feel like we’ve lost a bit of belief and conviction in our football and that is on me to change that.”
He continued to lay into his squad’s lacklustre display, adding: “It wasn’t about conceding the [first] goal, it was our approach to playing football and we were nowhere near good enough. That is on me.”

“We’ve been in a bit of a grind for a while now, that is part of our challenge and part of our growth. We have to go out there and perform and sometimes you have to grind out. We were poor today.”, reports the Mirror.
Tottenham are now seven points adrift of Aston Villa in fourth, though they still have a game in hand. As for Chelsea, the victory takes them up to eighth and to within three points of sixth-placed Manchester United in the race for Europe.
Despite the win, Mauricio Pochettino made a worrying admission on his future following their derby success. “With this team, with young guys, of course I have the responsibility,” he told Sky Sports.
“But at the same time, we know the circumstances. I want to say, enough is enough, all the managers need time to translate their ideas and their philosophy. More when the team is [young like ours]. We need to have time. But it is not my decision.”
