Crazed cannibal ‘on all fours like a canine’ seen ‘consuming lifeless sufferer’s face’

A witness was forced to make a chilling call to cops begging them to intervene after they saw a man allegedly eating his murder victim’s face.

Colin Czech, 29, has been accused of hitting Kenneth Brown to death in the car park of a 7-Eleven shop in Las Vegas before chewing his ear and eyeball on April 28. Police allegedly found him covered in blood with “biological matter” on his face, hands, mouth and clothing, kneeling above the man’s head.

He has now been arrested and charged with murder. A store worker called 911 to report seeing a man on top of another “eating” his face at a bus stop. “It’s bad, ma’am,” they said in the call, heard by 8 News Now. “Oh my God – I don’t what the f*** he’s doing to this man, that’s some weird s***.”

Another employee called 911 just before 5am that morning claiming Czech was standing outside the store “all night”. They then alleged he jumped on a customer.

They said: “I guess he just rushed him. I tried to have a conversation with him and he won’t talk. Right now, he’s on all fours like he’s a dog about to rush the store. I guess he just rushed him. I need somebody to come get him now.”

Czech admitted to cops he “used his teeth to eat [the victim’s] eyeball and ear,” according to an arrest report. Police allege he murdered Brown by repeatedly bashing his head on concrete.

Brown was unresponsive when officers arrived at the scene and was bleeding from his head. He was missing his left ear and left eye. It is understood he died of severe head injuries.

When police asked what happened, Czech allegedly “gave a blank stare” and didn’t say anything. He was taken to hospital as he was “going in and out of consciousness” while Brown was pronounced dead on arrival.

Czech, who is homeless, told police he hadn’t slept for five nights in a row and claimed something was “possessing him.” He also claimed Brown “attacked him” and said he thought he was fighting a “shape-shifter”.

When asked what he used to attack Brown, Czech allegedly responded “my teeth,” adding he “used his teeth to eat [Brown’s] eyeballs and ears.”

Chief deputy public defender David Westbrook told Las Vegas Justice Court on Wednesday (May 1) Czech was insane. He was granted a competency hearing on May 24.

“I’ve spoken to him, and I’ve determined that he is incompetent,” he said. “We will get to the bottom of all the factual allegations, that is a process. But before we get there we have to go into the competency proceedings.”

If Czech is found to be too mentally incompetent to stand trial he will be treated in a mental institution until he is fit to appear before the court. He was remanded in custody without bail.
