Kyle Walker ‘asks ex-Man City star about Saudi’ for brand new life away from mistress
Manchester City and England defender Kyle Walker could be the next major star to join the Saudi Pro League exodus.
The Sun report the 33-year-old is considering options for him and his family for life away from the Premier League. Walker penned a new contract at the Etihad Stadium last year, which runs until the summer of 2026, but he has been linked with a more imminent move to Bayern Munich where England pals Harry Kane and Eric Dier are both now based.
However, it’s suggested he could prioritise a longer-distance transfer to further separate himself and wife wife Annie Kilner from his former mistress Lauryn Goodman, with whom he’s had two children. Moreover, he’s supposedly used Riyad Mahrez – who left City for Saudi Pro League outfit Al-Ahli last year – as a sounding board to research the possibility of moving his young family away.

“Kyle has been thinking about his future after the Premier League and thinks a move to Saudi could be perfect for him, Annie, and their kids when he is done here,” a source told The Sun. “He has been speaking to Riyad about the football clubs out there and what life is like for people who move there. Obviously, the lifestyle is vastly different.
“Kyle loves playing for Man City and is devoted to the club but he has his head screwed on and has been thinking about what the future holds for him when his time in the Prem and for England is done.”
Betrayed Annie – who recently gave birth to a fourth child with the City defender – kicked Walker out of the family home after it emerged he’d had a second child with Goodman. However, the Daily Mail now reports he’s been permitted back into the £3.5million mansion.
The source went on to say Walker’s conversations with Mahrez have “opened his eyes” to the realities of playing in Saudi Arabia. Algeria international Mahrez agreed a deal that could see him earn a reported £45million per year, but not everyone has loved their time in the Middle East.
Jordan Henderson also joined the Saudi exodus last year but cut short his stay after only six months when he and his family struggled to settle at Al-Ettifaq. The former Liverpool midfielder is now back in Europe with Dutch giants Ajax.
Mahrez’s own wife – former Real Housewives of Cheshire star Taylor Ward – had a culture shock after changing England for Saudi Arabia last year. The couple appeared on the Amazon series ‘Married to the Game’ where Ward could be seen breaking down in tears after being shocked by some aspects of Saudi culture, including her not being allowed to swim in public.
