Carragher tells Utd stars to ‘shut up and get off the pitch’ after Palace shock
Jamie Carragher pulled no punches as he blasted Manchester United’s squad of embarrassments.
The Red Devils’ superstars were left with their heads in their hands again on Monday evening, while Erik ten Hag could only watch in disgust as Crystal Palace hit them for four at Selhurst Park. And Carragher slammed three stars in particular on Sky Sports.
Antony, Mason Mount and Andre Onana were filmed talking, with their hands covering their mouths, as they left the pitch. And the images enraged Carragher, 46, who was appearing on Monday Night Football when he launched into the rant.

He fumed: “Just get off the pitch! I mean, talking, whispering behind your hand.
“You’ve been absolutely awful. You’re probably talking about one of the players or somebody else or the set-up or the manager. Just get off the pitch. Shut up and get in. You’ve been beaten 4-0. Whispering and talking about other players, honestly, embarrassing.”

Michael Olise’s dancing feet set the tone for the clash, leaving United’s defence at sixes and sevens to open the scoring. It was then Selhurst’s latest sensation Jean-Philippe Mateta that doubled the lead.
Mateta can’t seem to stop scoring at the moment, and after Palace won the ball in midfield, the Frenchman slammed the ball past a hapless Onana. Palace’s win was confirmed with strikes from Tyrick Mitchell and Olise again.
Despite the result, United fans stayed to sing and clap at full-time – when the Sky cameras caught the trio talking.
Carragher had reserved most of his criticism for Antony, who had been hooked by Ten Hag just past the hour mark to be replaced with fellow flop Sofyan Amrabat.
Casemiro was also caught in Carragher’s line of fire, with the Liverpool cult hero telling the ex-Champions League winner he only has three games left at the top level of football.
