Charles Bronson has brutal jail punch-up with assassin who ‘charged at him’

Charles Bronson’s parole bid may have taken a hit after the notorious criminal battered a murderer who reportedly lept at him.

Bronson, 71, has spent more than 50 years in jail. He has a brutal history of violence and hostage-taking and is currently incarcerated at Category A HMP Woodhill, in Milton Keynes.

The long time lag lost a parole bid in March 2023 and his next opportunity to make a case for his release will come early next year. However, he now reportedy fears he could have scuppered his chances after coming to blows in the clink with Robert Donaldson, 48.

“Charlie knows this man’s history. Donaldson has attacked older people in the same age bracket as Charlie and has also slashed the throat of another inmate using a concealed weapon,” a source reportedly told Mail Online.

Donaldson was jailed in 2005 for murdering Paul Bourke, gagging a 100-year-old deaf woman and beating up a 76-year-old man while they slept.

And he has form for an attack on the inside. In 2014, he slashed a fellow inmate’s neck at HMP Grendon Underwood, severing the jugular vein.

The ‘former crack addict’, as the Mail put it, reportedly banged into Bronson in the hallway before charging at him fists raised.

The publication’s source continued: “Charlie obviously feared the worst and could not know if this nasty piece of work was holding a weapon so, to defend himself, he hit Donaldson.

“It was two hooks and two uppercuts. Charlie has been in this position many times before; he knows how to handle himself of course, but it is such a shame because he has been on his best behaviour for six years so now worries this will undo all his work.”

Bronson had reportedly avoided the lag up until that point as he was aware of his horrific crimes.

The source added that Donaldson had not been punished, but an investigation is underway.

“Donaldson is now going around with a load of bandages on his head acting like the victim,” they continued.
