Gravestone leaves locals baffled – and everybody’s making identical penis joke
A gravestone with a single-word inscription and unusual shape has left Reddit users baffled.
The user shared a snap from his local cemetery, which simply read “Len” in bold gold text on its reverse. It prompted speculation from people as to the true meaning behind the word.
One joked: “A man who needs no introduction.” Another added similarly: “A man of few words,” while a third declared: “He’s just Len. He is Lenough.”

The shape of the tomb proved equally as intriguing, meanwhile, several Reddit even compared it to a penis. One penned: “All the women loved him all the men wanted to be him. Len, he was rock solid.”
A second added: “The ladies in his life wanted to commemorate his best asset.” A third user wrote: “He had a hard life.” And a fourth quipped: “Got some Len-gth.”
More innocent suggestions, however included comparisons to a silhouette of [Super Mario Bros character] Yoshi’s head, a silhouette of Mr. Men’s Mr Greedy, and memorial for the puppet Sweep – of The Sooty Show fame.
In a rare serious comment, meanwhile, one user in the know about all things headstone offered a more logical explanation.
“I’d say a woman’s head resting on the back of her hand, the long bit would be the back of her arm and elbow,” they explained.
“I manage the art department at a company which provides a lot of headstones to funeral homes and the like.”
