Tragic girl, 22, jumped wall to flee thieves – there was nothing for 50ft
A woman has fallen to her death after trying to dodge who she feared were muggers.
During her travels of Brazil, Israeli tourist Alma Bohadana, 22, was with a bloke she’d met in a hostel when they were startled on Monday by a motorcycle with what they thought were crooks riding it.
Her new friend, Dan Hen, said they ran off and Alma leapt over to a wall to what she thought was safety from the criminals – but she plummeted about 50ft into a forest.

She was declared dead at the scene in the town of Santa Teresa, Rio de Janeiro, on Monday (May 6).
Cops have spoken to Dan three times since the tragedy in the Rio de Janeiro town of Santa Teresa, according to local media.
He initially told them that he didn’t see the person on the motorcycle, and later told them that a red vehicle had approached them but he never saw a weapon.
A local, Márcio da Silva, said he heard calls for help and had climbed down a hill to help Alma.
“When I arrived, she was already on the floor, passed out,” he told G1. “I tried to save her life, but I couldn’t.”
Alma had been on holiday by herself in Brazil for more than three months. She’d spent 90 days in the city of Salvador and headed down to Rio a few days ago.
One member of staff at the hostel in Salvador where she’d stayed said she had fitted in even though didn’t speak Portuguese.
“She had learned to samba and shared a lot of her Israeli culture with me,” the hostel employee said.
“Everyone in the hostel loved her. She will stay here forever with us, in the mandala [wall painting] that she painted with so much love in every detail.”
