Bellew ‘cooks’ John Fury over headbutt menace with ‘shot out of your nuts’ taunt

Boxing fans have joked Tony Bellew has ‘cooked’ John Fury after Tyson’s dad threatened to headbutt him next.

John, 59, overshadowed Tyson Fury’s build-up to his bout with Oleksandr Usyk on Monday when he headbutted a member of the Ukrainian’s team. John was left with a gash on his forehead, while Stanislav Stepchuk, sported a small nick of his own.

And before he could wipe away the blood, Fury had a few choice words for Bellew: “You see Tony Bellew? He will get a headbutt like [Stepchuk] just got if he comes around me.”

Bellew, who was dismantled by Usyk in the cruiserweight division, believes the Ukrainian will get the better of Fury. And John appears to have taken issue with Bellew predicting his son to lose in the undisputed title fight.

Reacting to John’s comments, Bellew hit back: “I don’t know why my name’s been mentioned. No-one can headbutt me…I achieved more in 60 seconds than John Fury’s achieved in his life.

Tony Bellew slammed John Fury

“I never big myself up, but just because something shot out of your nuts and became one of the greatest heavyweights in the world, that does not mean you can validate your opinion on every other fighter. You got your arse absolutely handed to you off Henry Akinwande, now get a grip of yourself.”

That was a reference to John’s crushing third round KO loss against future WBO champion Akinwande in 1991, which led to him taking a four-year absence from boxing. “Absolutely bodied John there,” one fan joked on social media. While a second said: “Bellew cooked him 10-8!”

“Tony Bellew would knock John Fury spark out. Bellew is 10x the fighter John Fury ever was, Tyson Fury is the reason the world knows John,” a third shared. And another added: “Imagine having to take Tony Bellew’s side in an argument. But this is what John Fury has reduced us to…”
