The couple had a “sex and drug fuelled relationship” and liked to make homemade porn friends said, who also described Georgia as “a little bit kinky” and liked to be “treated rough”.

However on February 3, 2022 rough play turned foul, when Cannon, a personal trainer and gym teacher choked Brooke unconscious and maintained his grip on her neck until she went into cardiac arrest, MailOnline reports.

Paramedics found Brooke naked and without a pulse on Cannon’s bed in Bradford, West Yorkshire after he called 999.

Despite CPR and adrenaline injections, the dancer was pronounced dead at Bradford Royal Infirmary.

Hospital staff alerted police, however Cannon fled before they could arrive, telling one senior registrar “her mum is going to kill me. I should have died instead.”

He phoned a friend, and said: “tell her mum I’m going to be with her”.

Cannon then climbed over a wall into a wooded area near the hospital and hanged himself, Bradford Coroner’s Court heard. His body was found a few hours later.

Det Sgt Phil Hardwick, of West Yorkshire Police, who investigated both deaths, told the hearing that Cannon had been wanted on suspicion of murder following the concerns of medical staff, but that all sex had been consensual.

He said that Brooke’s phone records were consistent with claims she liked to be choked, saying: “It’s fair to say there are text messages consistent with Georgia having an interest in chocking in a sexual point of view.”

He also told the inquest that her recent internet searches included “why do I like being choked psychology?”

Brooke’s cause of death was ruled as manual strangulation, however, pathologist Dr Christopher Johnson also found “potentially fatal” levels of GHB in her system, alongside cocaine and alcohol.

Dr Johnson said Brooke would have lost consciousness about 15 to 30 seconds into being choked, but Cannon must have continued to apply pressure to her neck a lot longer after she passed out to force her into cardiac arrest.

The coroner described the incident as a ‘sex game gone wrong’

He explained that choking during sex makes the body go into hypoxia (starvation of oxygen) which can cause euphoria and heighten pleasure.

He added that it was an “extremely dangerous practice”.

The coroner, Mr Flemming recorded a verdant of “unlawful killing”, saying: “There is no evidence he suggested to kill Georgia, he was primarily motivated by sexual gratification” and that the incident was a “sex game gone wrong”.
