Mike Tyson says Jake Paul dancing gave him ‘erection’ in bizarre press convention

Mike Tyson bizarrely claimed that watching Jake Paul dance as a 16-year-old gave him an “erection” as the press conference ahead of their fight turned weird.

The former world heavyweight champion takes on the YouTuber on July, 20, in Texas, and the build-up to their bout is well underway as the pair played their part in drumming up interest in the event during a press conference.

However, the press conference took a strange turn as the pair finished trading insults when Paul claimed, whilst he chomped down on a piece of chewing gum like a horse eating hay, that he wanted to “Kiss Mike’s big juicy lips”.

The moderator then asked Tyson for a response, to which the 57-year-old staggeringly said: “He wanted to kiss me? That’s so ironic that he said that because I saw pictures of him dancing at 16, doing that little dance on YouTube and for some reason I had an erection.”

Paul was unmoved by the comment as he sat with sunglasses on, but the thousands of fans in attendance were left stunned as gasps of disbelief could be heard before an awkward silence ensued as Iron Mike – known for his standout quotes down the years – chuckled to himself.

‘The Problem Child’ entered the stage to loud boos by the crowd before he reacted with expletive language and gestures before he turned to the Tyson-backing crowd, calling out: “I hope you all keep that same energy when I knock this old man out.”

The fight is sanctioned by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation as a professional bout, but it will be eight two-minute rounds instead of 10 or 12 rounds lasting three minutes each. The gloves will be heavier at 14 ounces instead of 10, with the idea to reduce the power of punches.
