Prince Harry ‘broke unstated contract with Brits’, says royal commentator
A royal commentator has claimed Prince Harry has “broken an unspoken contract with the British people” over so-called Megxit and they’ll “never forgive him” for it.
As everyone knows, the Sussexes dramatically split from the Royal Family in March 2020 following a now-infamous Oprah Winfrey interview.
And for Harry’s part in the schism dubbed ‘Megxit’ over perceived influence from Meghan, he shall suffer eternal damnation from his fellow Brits, according to Daniela Elser writing for News.com.au.

Often Sussex-critical Elser lamented in her column: “For years on end, Brits were entranced by the outwardly chirpy chap who appeared to have made peace with his royal identity.
“Then came the third act in the Harry story, the part where he turned on his heel and decided he wanted a different life, far, far away from grey skies and stiff upper lips.”
Elser, despite being based in Australia, spoke for Brits and said “the entire nations feelings were hurt”.
However, Statista reported in February 2024 that approximately 33 percent of people in Great Britain had a favorable impression of Prince Harry, even after ‘Megxit’.
Even still, Elser went on: “I’m not sure an entire nation’s feelings have ever been hurt in one fell swoop before but really, what else was the British reaction to Megxit but exactly that?
“Harry broke an unspoken contract with the people, one he had never been given a say over, and they have never, and I’m not sure will ever, forgive him.”
It comes as a royal expert has claimed that Prince William is reportedly “furious with Harry over his Royal tour with Meghan” and is determined to put a stop to it.
Royal commentator Tom Quinn, speaking to The Mirror, suggested that the Prince of Wales is far from pleased with the pair for their Nigeria trip. He stated: “William is absolutely furious and determined to find a way to stop this happening in future. Charles is said to be angrier than anyone has ever seen him.”
Quinn went on to say that the Nigerian reception of Meghan and Harry, treating them as if on an official tour, has upset the Royal family.
