Rebecca Joynes’ sick Snapchats that introduced her down uncovered – and her nickname

A series of sick love notes and Snapchat messages sent by a disgraced teacher to her teenage lovers show the extent of disturbing evidence that would soon bring her down.

The concerning messages included her telling a student “every inch of you is perfect”. Rebecca Joynes, 30, from Manchester, had sex with two schoolboys and became pregnant by one of them during an 18-month illicit relationship. She even became known as ‘Bunda Becky’ by male students.

The former teacher was on trial at Manchester Crown Court for the last two weeks and has now been found guilty of four counts of sexual activity with a child, and two counts of sexual activity with a child by a person in a position of trust.

The court heard how Joynes groomed her first victim, referred to as Boy A, by buying him a £345 Gucci designer belt and inviting him to her former flat where they had sex twice. She then “had a baby” with a second pupil, referred to as Boy B, while on bail over sex with the first boy.

Inside her apartment after her arrest officers found rose petals, handwritten notes, a birthday card for the second teen and a baby grow.

It became apparent that Joynes had arranged a romantic evening to tell the boy that she was pregnant and he was the father. Red rose petals were spread throughout the flat, forming a large love heart on her bed.

The handwritten notes were tucked away in various spots throughout her luxury flat. The sick notes read things like “now go to where I undercooked the pizza” and “your first surprise is waiting for you where we spend more time in the summer”.

As the notes were coming to an end, one read: “Find the final surprise where we should be having cuddles right now.” The final note revealed a tiny babygrow with the message: “I love my daddy to the moon and back” embossed on it.

Officers also discovered Pregnacare tablets packages, an Ann Summers ‘sex scratchcard’ and a birthday card penned by Joynes which read: “To [Boy B], your kisses are the ones I long for. Every inch of you is perfect… I love you so much, forever and always.”

During a search of her white Audi A1, cops uncovered a romantic letter sent to Boy B that said things like “I know you are struggling right now” and “I don’t think you understand how much I really do love you.”

In that letter she called the boy her “whole world” and said he was “all [she] ever dreamed about”. Throughout the trial she refuted any claims of sexual involvement when either lad was underage, asserting that the first boy, referred to as Boy A, was lying about any incident occurring.

In the case of Boy A, she even reset her mobile in an attempt to erase their message history. A Snapchat conversation revealed their plans to meet at the Trafford Centre for a secret rendezvous, beginning Joynes’ scheme to groom Boy A.

Several months later, following her apprehension for her inappropriate relationship with Boy A and suspension from work, she struck up a conversation with Boy B via Snapchat. He too was invited over to her accommodation which started their relationship.
