Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk undercard for heavyweight conflict in Saudi
Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk go head to head to become the undisputed heavyweight world champion in Riyadh on Saturday night.
Fury’s WBC title is on the line while Usyk will be fighting to retain his WBA, IFB and WBO belts. The winner will become the first undisputed champion in the heavyweight division since Lennox Lewis in 1999, and the first to hold all the titles in the four-belt era.
The long-awaited fight is finally set to happen after the Gypsy King was forced to pull out of their original date of February 17 when he suffered a nasty cut above his eye in sparring. But fans are set to be rewarded for their patience with an exciting undercard to partner the main event.

The undercard sees Welsh fighter Joe Cordina defend his IBF super-featherweight title against Ireland’s Anthony Cacace. Cordina won the IBF belt for a second time with victory over Shavkat Rakhimov last year before he defended his title against Edward Vazquez in Monaco last November.
Cacace’s IBO super-featherweight title is also on the line after the 35-year-old secured a unanimous decision victory over Damian Wrzesinski last May in Belfast. Cacace enters the bout with a 21-1 record, while his former Team GB foe is 17-0.

The vacant IBF cruiserweight title is also on line on Saturday night as Australian Jai Opetaia is hoping to extend his 24-0 record against a former opponent of Usyk’s in Mairis Briedis, who lost his WBC cruiserweight title against the Ukrainian back in 2018.
A fighting favourite of Turki Alalshikh – chairman of the General Entertainment Authority in Saudi – Mark Chamberlain is also in action against Joshua Oluwaseun Wahab. Elsewhere, former light-heavyweight world champion Sergey Kovalev faces Robin Sirwan Safar.
