Little boy leaves heartwarming notice for canine sitter with three key guidelines

All dog lovers struggle to be apart from their furry companions.

And even when they’re with trusty sitters, it can be anxiety-inducing thinking about whether our pooches are happy or not.

So to ensure his best pal was being well looked after, a little boy decided to write a note for the person tasked with the job. His mum was so moved by the handwritten letter that she posted it onto Reddit.

She captioned the image: “We left our dog with a dog sitter for the first time. This is the note my son left for them.”

The note reads: “Hi there Ms/Mr Dog Sitter. I want you to know some things Roxy likes.

“1) Having a blanket over her when she’s laying down. 2) Being scratched under the chin and the top of her head. 3) Her pet spot is behind the couch near the back door. Thank you! Katy’s son.”

The post went viral on Reddit, racking up 6,900 upvotes in a matter of hours. And it’s safe to say it has been warming hearts. One commenter gushed: “As a professional pet sitter this would absolutely melt me!”

Another said: “Your son is only looking out for his buddy. 10/10 doggie brother-behaviour. I hope the sitter sends some pics of puppers getting pets in the favourite spot.”

And a third added: “Dear Katy – you’ve got one sweet son and one lucky dog to know such love and devotion. Great job, Mum! You are definitely doing something right.”
