Luke Littler misses FA Cup last and has to scrap Man Utd plan for ‘personal security’
Luke Littler says he was forced to give the FA Cup final a miss and watch it from the comfort of his own home.
The Manchester United supporter had previously declared he’d be at Wembley to see his team take on their arch-rivals Manchester City. The 17-year-old darts sensation said he’d made a deal with his manager so he could be at the big game.
But a swift change of plans saw him post an Instagram snap with the match playing on his TV in Warrington. The post was captioned: “At home watching the game for my own safety today, YANITED.”

‘The Nuke’ previously revealed the deal he made with his manager Martin Foulds of ZXF Sports Management so he could go to the cup final instead of the European Tour tournament in Rosmalen, Netherlands, for the Dutch Darts Championship.
He said: “I’m in. I’m going to Wembley. Martin said if I do well and get myself into the Matchplay, Grand Prix and other majors, then he’ll pull me out of stuff so I get time. At the minute, I don’t have to do everything.”

Earlier this week, Littler was in the capital bagging the Premier League of Darts title, where he triumphed over Michael Smith and Luke Humphries, making a splash on his debut. He’d planned to extend his London stay for the footie face-off after missing out on last season’s action, but it seems the darts champ had a rethink.
Post-victory, Littler commented on the attention he’s been getting, saying: “I’ll obviously get stopped for pictures and everything. I’ll stop for a few but people have got to realise I have got to get on with my day as well.”
He added that he just wanted to kick back and root for United to lift the cup, reminiscing about watching last year’s final on TV and looking forward to potentially seeing it live. With the Premier League trophy now in his cabinet, the 17 year old is off to the Big Apple for the US Darts Masters before jetting to Orlando, Florida for some downtime with the fam, reports the Mirror.
Darts sensation Luke Littler, fresh from his World Championship success, revealed on Good Morning Britain: “I just want to go to the theme parks and have fun. It has been a crazy time. But I don’t reflect on it that much,” adding, “I have been twice before to Orlando. Obviously, I went to WrestleMania – that’s where my walk-out song came from.”
