F1 Monaco crash practically destroys Red Bull automobile as individuals say ‘how did he survive’
The Monaco F1 Grand Prix has been stopped after a huge crash took place.
Sergio Perez was involved in a huge smash on the first lap of the Monaco Grand Prix which saw the race stopped less than a minute in. Perez, thankfully, walked away unharmed, but the 78-lap race was stopped as the car hit the barrier.
It happened on the hill leading from Sainte Devote, with his car destroyed almost entirely on impact. Three of the vehicle’s four wheels were instantly ripped off.

Within seconds, fans were flocking to social media to express their shock, as one wrote on Twitter/X: “OH MY GOG PEREZ.”
And a second asked: “How did he survive that?!” as a third said: “WHAT JUST HAPPENED BRO, IM FLABBERGASTED.”
The crash was sparked by Kevin Magnussen, whose car touched the Red Bull one which was enough to spin it around. And as it did so it knocked into the other Haas driver Nico Hulkenberg which meant he too was out of the race within seconds.
In the run up to the race, there had been questions over whether or not the legendary track was suitable for F1 races anymore due to the narrow roads, slow turns and bigger cars. And it now worries have proven to be accurate with the crash taking place less than one minute into the race.
When Magnussen’s Haas team-mate was also taken out in the collision, he was heard raging: “That was unnecessary.”
Another fan on social media was quick to point this out, stating: “Monaco’s streets are too small for F1 cars!”. A second agreed: “By creating a gap through pressure, baiting out mistakes, or simply driving better. Especially in Monaco you can’t jump at every small gap as there is already few space to overtake. Jumping at a small gap where you wouldn’t even dive in in a normal race means game over in Monaco.”
A third questioned: “Why even have it in the small streets of Monaco?”
