Borussia Dortmund are interested in Mason Greenwood and will make a decision on the 22-year-old after the Champions League final on Saturday against Real Madrid.
Greenwood is currently on loan at Getafe where his loan spell ends on June 30 and is set to return to Manchester United then but reports in Germany have indicated that Dortmund are willing to take him on loan for next season.
Speaking at their Champions League final media day, Borussia Dortmund Sporting Director, Sebastian Kehl, refused to rule out a potential summer move for Greenwood.
‘I don’t want to talk about any rumours at the moment because it doesn’t make sense. Let’s play the final on Saturday first,’ Kehl said.
‘Of course, we have plans for next season and we have discussed many scenarios but let’s focus on Saturday and then we’ll see how we move on,’ said Kehl.

Asked if Greenwood is a player that Dortmund like, Kehl responded: ‘I don’t want to talk about that now.’
With Jadon Sancho’s current loan deal at Dortmund not containing an option to buy, the German club may make a move for Greenwood instead.
Sancho cost United £73million from Dortmund in 2021 but after just 12 goals in 82 appearances and following a fallout with Erik ten Hag, went back on loan to Dortmund in January this year where he has thrived and played a key part in their run to the Champions League final.
Dortmund are keen to sign Sancho back permanently but are holding out for a discounted price, with his current contract expiring in 2026.
Mail Sport understands that United would prefer a transfer fee for Greenwood but would be willing to let him leave on loan again.
After it was announced last year that he would not be playing for United again, Greenwood was loaned out to Getafe and scored 10 goals and made six assists in 36 matches for the Spanish club.
On Sunday, Greenwood posted on Instagram what looked like a farewell to Getafe, who finished the season losing their last five LaLiga matches.

Last week, their game against Alaves was temporality suspended after Greenwood was targeted with offensive chants.
‘Incredibly grateful to the Getafe family and fans for an amazing season,’ Greenwood wrote on Instagram.
‘Thank you for making me feel welcomed and one of your own. I enjoyed every second, alongside my team-mates and club.
‘A bittersweet ending, but it was a pleasure to play for you. I wish you all the best.’
But Getafe president Angel Torres has publicly insisted he wants Greenwood to remain in Spain.
‘Regarding Man United, the news that we have, where the sporting director went to England to see some games and was with them is that if a good offer comes along, they would want to sell because he is not going to go back there,’ said Torres.
Jadon Sancho has helped Dortmund reach the Champions League final on loan from United
‘We’ll have to wait until the end of June. The people and the coach are very happy with him. I think he will remain with us for another season, or at least until January. He is a good footballer.’
Greenwood has not played for United since January 2022, when he was arrested on suspicion of rape and assault, with Greater Manchester Police confirming the existence of ‘social media images and videos posted by a woman reporting incidents of physical violence.’
United immediately suspended the then-20-year-old from training and matches ‘until further notice.’
