Jack Grealish nearly falls off Man City parade bus in heart-in-mouth second

Jack Grealish had to be saved by his team-mates from falling off Manchester City’s open-top parade bus.

City celebrated a fourth consecutive Premier League title on Sunday just 24 hours after being beaten by rivals Manchester United in the FA Cup final. But their Wembley failure and classic Manchester weather didn’t dampen their spirits.

Pep Guardiola’s side partied on top of a sky blue open-top bus in similar scenes to their celebrations last summer where Grealish stole the show as he enjoyed a three-day bender during the champions’ treble party.

However, this year was a touch more terrifying for the England star as he had to be saved twice by his team-mates from falling off the back of City’s bus as it jolted while moving away.

Clips posted to social media first showed Grealish dancing with his arms in the air as the players took the adulation from supporters below, but as the bus pulled away, Grealish stumbled back and had to be grabbed by Jeremy Doku from falling off the back.

What did you make of Man City’s celebrations? Let us know in the comments section.

And it appeared the 28-year-old hadn’t learned his lesson when the bus jolted forward again.

Grealish and defender Ruben Dias were filmed jumping up and down with their arms in the air alongside Nathan Ake, who was luckily grabbing Grealish’s arm, seemingly aware that his balance wasn’t as great as on a matchday, seeing him pull the £100million ace back to safety.

Grealish was again at the forefront of the celebrations as one of the biggest characters inside the City dressing room but he’ll be hoping to bounce back to form at Euro 2024 in an England shirt after a miserable season in blue.

Grealish was named in the Three Lions’ 33-man training squad for the tournament but may have to prove his worth again to be selected in the final 26-player roster.

The winger found himself replaced on the wing by last summer’s arrival Jeremy Doku, as well as the form of Player of the Year Phil Foden restricting him to just ten Premier League starts all season.

Grealish, when he did get on the pitch, netted three times in 36 appearances in all competitions.
