Matt Le Tissier’s daughter-in-law Alex has complained that she is the ‘black sheep of the family’ after the former Southampton midfielder appeared to take his other daughter to watch Saints claim victory in the Championship play-off final.

Saints were promoted back to the Premier League after Russell Martin’s side claimed a 1-0 victory against Leeds on Sunday, with Adam Armstrong’s decisive first half strike ending their year-long hiatus from the top-flight.

Le Tissier, who is renowned as one of Southampton’s greatest-ever players and has recently raised eyebrows after speaking out on several conspiracy theories on social media, was pictured at Wembley on Sunday alongside two members of his family.

The former Sky Sports presenter had posted an image with his family on his X (formerly Twitter) feed, captioning the picture: ‘Lovely to be able to bring the family to the play-off final today. Up the Saints’, before adding a heart emoji.

But it seems his daughter-in-law Alex didn’t take kindly to not being invited. She wrote on X (formerly Twitter): ‘It’s fun being the black infamous sheep of the family sometimes.’

The OnlyFans model had also published a separate message on X, in which she wrote: ‘In all seriousness though they didn’t want anyone knowing about me.

‘I don’t like Taylor Swift’s music much but the quote where she said in an interview about “you don’t have to forgive or forget” and I don’t think I ever will move on.

‘So my name being flooded in the comments [of Le Tissier’s post]? *chefs kiss* perfect revenge because people do the work for me now. I made my own f******* name.’

Alex is married to Mitchell Le Tissier, Matt’s son, with the pair having been together for more than 10 years and also have four children together.

Mail Online reported last year that the pair are in a monogamous relationship.

In 2022, The Sun reported that Matt had ‘fallen out with his son and daughter-in-law after Alex started creating content on OnlyFans.’

The outlet states that he had stopped speaking to the pair a year ago with his son, Mitchell, telling The Sun on Sunday: ‘It’s been over a year since I’ve spoken to any of my family including my dad and stepmum.

Seemingly in response to Le Tissier's picture, Alex wrote on X: 'It's fun being the black infamous sheep of the family sometimes'

‘They didn’t take it well. I expected them to disagree with our decision but I would have hoped they were open-minded enough to accept it was ours to make.’

Several fans commented on Le Tissier’s post on X, with some making reference to his daughter-in-law in the replies – with the ex-footballer seemingly blocking one user who mentioned her.

One X user posted a screen grab showing that Le Tissier had blocked them, commenting four laughing-face emojis.

Another fan replied:’ You’re not the only one’ While another added: ‘Alex already said that he blocks anyone that mentions her or is associated to her.

‘He’s a nut job but I don’t blame him. Rather wear a tinfoil hat than have to call that family. Lol.’

Later on in the day, after Saints had secured their return to the top-flight, Le Tissier posted another picture on his X account, showing him celebrating the play-off final victory with Armstrong.

He congratulated the Saints forward on his goal, before writing ‘what a day.’

He would later comment on the social media platform: ‘Wow, what a day! My team, back in the Premier League and one of my best mates Richard Bland wins the US PGA Senior championship on his debut.’

He also took a dig at Portsmouth, who had previously secured promotion to the Championship this season.

‘Sorry Pompey but you’re going to have to try a bit harder if you want some derbies,’ Le Tissier joked.

Le Tissier has raised eyebrows among some online this year having voiced his opinions on several conspiracy theories.

The ex-Saints midfielder bizarrely hinted that the government planned the 2020 lockdown to stop people going outside and enjoying the sunshine in April and drew criticism from some online for this theory.
