Boston TV reporter swallows a fly reside on air

A Boston news anchor appeared to swallow a fly on air as the insect crawled onto her face during her morning show.

Vanessa Welch of Boston 25 news was mid-sentence when what looked like a fly flew into her eye and then fell inside her mouth.

The TV reporter is being praised for carrying on with her sentence about domestic violence despite the gross incident. 

Welch seemed to be unfazed by the fly – and social media users marveled at her ability to persist.

‘That is professionalism right there,’ one person commented.

‘Nah she needs a raise, she didn’t even bat an eye,’ another responded.

‘Not even fazed. Peak professionalism,’ a user said.

Although, not everyone is convinced that it was indeed a bug that ended up in her mouth – some are speculating that it was just a stray eyelash

‘Looks more like she is wearing individual strip lashes (like lashify) and one of them has detached and come off while blinking,’ someone commented.
