Bobby Brazier reveals why he wished to be voted off Strictly
Bobby Brazier has heartbreakingly admitted he wanted to be voted off Strictly Come Dancing early because he hated the attention that fame brought.
The former EastEnders star, 20, struggled with the spotlight during his time on the show as he confessed losing his mother Jade Good at a young age made him ‘shy’.
Bobby, who said he has a natural love for dancing and acting, explained that the loss of his mother could be the reason why he is uninterested in fame and fortune.
Jade tragically passed away in 2009 after a battle with cervical cancer, leaving behind sons Bobby and Freddie, 19, who she shared with their father Jeff Brazier.
Revealing he has zero interest in being in the limelight, Bobby spoke about his struggles in an interview for the Sunday Times Magazine.

Bobby said: ‘I don’t want to be famous. Maybe I did when I was younger, now I just want to act. I went on Strictly because dancing makes me happy.
‘The more I learn about fame, the less I’m interested in it. A couple of weeks during Strictly, it got too much. I only felt peace when I came home. I wanted to get voted off.
‘What happened to me was very public. It made me shy as a kid. I was more interested in observing the world than engaging in it.’
Bobby played EastEnders character Freddie Slater from 2022 until he made a temporary exit to appear in Strictly.
He finished runner-up with his professional dance partner Dianne Buswell, as ex-girlfriend Ellie Leach was crowned the winner of the competition.
Despite hating the spotlight, Bobby made headlines when he was spotted having a passionate kiss at the BAFTAs earlier this month with MAFS star Ella Morgan.

Bobby had been searching for Ella’s sexiest posts and although he doesn’t follow her on Instagram, he was particularly enamored by a raunchy shot of the reality star modelling Ann Summers lingerie back in February.
And Ella, who was the first transgender bride to appear on the E4 series, regularly likes Bobby’s posts, with sources saying it’s possible a ‘secret man’ she’s been seeing for months now could be the soap star.
Bobby, who’s 10 years Ella’s junior, has previously been linked to his Strictly co-star Ellie Leach and actress Jazzy Phoenix, who plays Nadine Keller in EastEnders.
A source told MailOnline: ‘Bobby and Ella have exchanged private messages over Instagram and been liking each other’s posts for months now.
‘Ella watched him on Strictly and admired his dance ability, she aspires to star on the show one day.
