Former footballer Ze Roberto has managed an extraordinary body transformation since hanging up his boots.

The Brazilian legend bid farewell to his playing days back in 2017 at the ripe age of 43. But instead of settling into retirement, he went on to make a drastic body transformation from his previously lean appearance as a player to an incredibly muscular figure now, which features prominently on his social media accounts. reports the Mirror.
Apart from serving as a technical advisor to his former club Palmeiras, the Sao Paulo native also keeps busy as a personal trainer. He attributes his long-lasting football career and outstanding physical fitness to his clean living and dedication to wellness. In previous interviews, he’s revealed: “I have no vices. I don’t drink alcoholic beverages, I don’t smoke, I eat very well, I sleep well.”

Adding context to his exceptional discipline, Roberto confessed his support system plays a significant role, further adding: “I have my family, which is my greatest security. I think those are important factors to reach the age I reached and still continue playing at a high level.”
In 2020, Ze Roberto even made an audacious claim that his body is more finely tuned than Cristiano Ronaldo, who reportedly shells out $1million (£783,000) annually on maintaining his fitness and physique.
The Brazilian boldly stated to TyC Sports: “Today I would say that I have a better physique [than Ronaldo], because I played until I was 43-years-old. If he (Ronaldo) does [play until then], I will say it is him.”
Judging by the Portuguese ace’s form in Saudi Arabia, hanging up his boots seems far from immediate. Ronaldo has been vocal about his dietary routine, as he laid out the blueprint for those wanting to improve their performance.
“Eat regularly. If you train regularly it’s important to keep energy levels high to fuel your body for better performance,” the Al-Nassr superstar said. “I sometimes eat up to six smaller meals a day to make sure I have enough energy to perform each session at top level.”
