Gran, 83, who ditched toyboy, 37, modifications profile image to ‘real’ companion

An 83-year-old gran has switched up her profile pic after splitting from her Egyptian toy boy, 37, whom she famously wed.

Iris Jones tied the knot and then ditched Mohamed Ibrahim, 37, after he allegedly “conned” her out of wads of cash. She reckons she’s been coughing up for his debts and handing him hefty sums of money. Now, she’s slamming him as “evil” and a “sewer rat” after their whirlwind fling that had everyone gabbing when Iris dished about hooking up online and jetting off to Egypt to be with him.

Her 2021 stint on This Morning had then-hosts Holly Willoughby and Philip Scofield cracking up big time, and the gutsy lady quickly racked up a fanbase after spilling the beans on her and her ex-beau’s bedroom antics. She’d also post lovey-dovey pics with her man on her Facebook page.

But having confessed to regretting the fling with the younger bloke, Iris has now changed her Facebook profile picture to one of her true love – her cat Mr Bo Jangles.

The gran, who’s now proudly changed her relationship status to single on Facebook, loves to post about her feline’s daily adventures, whether they’re chilling in the park or soaking up some rays in the garden. Sharing an adorable pic with her kitty, Iris wrote in the comments: “It’s soo nice to have genuine friends to support me in what has been a traumatic time in my life.”

“Thank you all from the bottom of my heart, (which is slowly starting to heal).” Iris also recently revealed that she tragically lost her previous cat, Smudge, to cancer in 2010.

The grandmother, hailing from Weston-super-Mare, Somerset, has taken a step back from online dating following the breakdown of her marriage. Lately, she’s been fervently raising awareness about the potential dangers of using dating websites, urging people to be vigilant against “scammers and con-artists”.

Iris alleges that she has been targeted by four scammers in recent months and now considers herself a “competent scam hunter”. She claims one “evil” individual attempted to swindle her out of thousands of pounds.

Recently, Iris took to Facebook to share her advice. She warned: “A warning to all vulnerable women online, chatting to scammers and con-artists, thinking they are messaging genuine males on legitimate dating sites. Be aware that they are only interested in getting their filthy paws on your money and will sweet-talk you for weeks, or even months in order to achieve their goals.”
