Neymar responds to innocent shoelace prank by brutally slashing teammates’ tyres
Neymar evidently doesn’t react well to pranks, as he retaliated to a harmless shoelace trick by brutally slashing his team-mate’s tyres.
The prank war at Al-Hilal took an outrageous turn after Neymar took a knife to the tyres of left-back Renan Lodi’s car after the former Nottingham Forest man had knotted the lace on the Brazilian’s trainers.
Neymar proudly posted his reply to Lodi’s light-hearted training ground laugh as a video showed the world’s most expensive player in history stabbing a knife in the tyres of Lodi’s car as a couple of his Al-Hilal team-mates gathered round to watch.

The snaps posted on to Instagram saw Lodi immediately react as he warned: “Next season is long, I eagerly wait for your Rolls Royce!!” And fans weren’t shocked by the defender’s threat as one replied: “This is a very expensive prank.”
A second joked: “I don’t think Neymar was pranking…” Another posted a GIF of Will Ferrell’s character Ron Burgundy in the film Anchorman, who said: “That escalated quickly, I mean that really got out of hand fast!” While a fourth quipped: “Neymar doesn’t know how to play at all what’s this!?”

Neymar and Lodi’s mischief comes on the eve of Al-Hilal’s King Cup final against Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr team on Friday evening (May 31).
The undefeated league champions drew just three of their 34 Saudi Pro League games and have the chance to complete the double.
But they will have to cope without prank king Neymar, as they have for virtually the entire season, after he suffered a cruciate ligament tear back in September last year and hasn’t returned since.
Al-Hilal boast the likes of Ruben Nevers, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Aleksandr Mitrovic and Kalidou Koulibaly in their ranks.
While Al-Nassr’s stars include Sadio Mane, Marcelo Brozovic, Otavio, Alex Telles and the record-breaking Ronaldo; however, ex-Manchester City centre-back Aymeric Laporte is suspended for the final.
