EMILY PRESCOTT: Has Phillip Schofield put his daughter in cost?

A year after his very public fall from grace, after eventually admitting to having an affair with a much younger colleague and lying about it, Phillip Schofield is looking to rehabilitate his image.

And I can reveal the 62-year-old former This Morning presenter has tasked his daughter Molly, 30, with the pleasure, as she is now formally working as his manager. He is no longer working with lawyer Jonathan Coad.

On talent database The Media Eye, Molly is listed as Phil’s manager and it appears she is now running her own firm called MMS Projects.

And her first project seems to be curating a new positive image online for Phil. Amid reports he is eyeing up a new career in television, Phil recently returned to posting on his Instagram, positioning his dog Alfie front and centre – no doubt in a bid to thaw hearts.

Given the public vitriol directed at him when his affair was revealed last year, you would expect there to be some criticism in the comments, but it seems only the most positive responses are permitted.

For instance, on a photo of Alfie posted last week, all the comments appear to be lavishing love on the dog, with celebrity hairstylist Lino Carbosiero commenting: ‘Sooooo cute Phil.’

Phil also posted a ‘story’ of his dog watching Jeremy Clarkson, writing: ‘Thank goodness we love watching the same shows… he’s obsessed with Clarkson’s Farm!’

Until January this year, Molly worked at YMU, the talent agency that represented Phil for 35 years. 

Uncomfortably, it was reported that she was in the office when she learned her dad had confessed to his affair with a young male runner on This Morning.

A baking ballerina 

Is Marco Pierre White’s daughter Mirabelle being a tad harsh on herself by describing her Russian honey cake as ‘droopy’ on Instagram? 

It may not pass muster with her father, but most cooks would be delighted with her concoction. 

Still, the former ballerina, 22, has been training at Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons, so perhaps chef Raymond Blanc has been giving her some tips? 

Ellie’s new dinner date… with her ex

Ellie Goulding was recently spotted lounging on a Costa Rican beach with her surf instructor boyfriend Armando Perez, but it seems her new relationship hasn’t got in the way of keeping things friendly with her art-dealer husband Caspar Jopling. 

Last week, Ellie, 37, and Caspar, 32, who formally announced their split in February after more than four years of marriage, strolled the streets of London together. 

Maintaining a low profile, Ellie opted for a black jacket and leather trousers, which she accessorised with a Stella McCartney handbag. 

During the walk, Ellie sipped on a canned peach-flavoured vodka seltzer from her drinks brand Served. 

Then, on Thursday night, the pair reunited again for a cosy al fresco dinner in Notting Hill, where they lingered outside the restaurant chatting and smoking before sharing a hug and going their separate ways. 

The pair share a three-year-old son, Arthur, so it’s no surprise that they are keen to keep things amicable. Ellie met Armando on a girls’ trip to Costa Rica in December. 

Before then she was rumoured to be enjoying a close friendship with Tory peer Zac Goldsmith. 

Punctuality is considered a desirable trait by most, but not in Hollywood. That’s according to Top Gun actor Glen Powell, who was told by an agent to stop turning up on time to auditions as it made him seem desperate. 

‘He said, ‘Hey man, you gotta be less punctual, like a little more cool actor-y,’ the 35-year-old says. 

While he doesn’t think that would help him get roles, he admits: ‘There’s definitely a bit of a game… the best guy doesn’t necessarily get the job.’ 

Charli goes for a vampire look

For most people, summer is the time to get working on a tan. But not for pale-skinned beauty Charli Howard, who is keenly championing ‘vampire girl summer’.

Best known for portraying Diana in The Crown, Elizabeth Debicki showed that she shares the late princess’s passion for women’s rights. 

Leaving her Los Angeles hotel, the actress, wore a cap emblazoned with 1973 – a nod to the Roe vs Wade ruling of that year, which enshrined the right to have an abortion in America. 

She demonstrated royally expensive taste, too: her Loewe Balloon Bucket Bag retails at almost £3,000.

Once named by society bible Tatler as the ‘most beautiful royal’, Lady Amelia Windsor, underwent a striking makeover last week as she lopped off her long blonde hair in pursuit of the latest hair trend – the aptly named ‘Princess Bob’. 

Amelia, 28, got her hair cut at the salon owned by Meghan Markle’s hairdresser, George Northwood, and proudly took to Instagram to show off the results. 

Other proponents of the ‘Princess Bob’ include Princess Olympia of Greece and actress Elle Fanning.

Sleeping in your car is rarely a sign life is going well. But for Georgia May Jagger – the model daughter of Mick Jagger and Jerry Hall – it’s a holiday lifestyle choice. 

During a break in San Luis Obispo on California’s central coast, the 32-yearold, shunned the allure of luxury five-star resorts in favour of a duvet in the boot. 

Yet it seems her online followers remain unconvinced she really would rough it, as one asked brashly: ‘Camping? Really camping?’ 

‘Yes, really camping,’ came the swift reply. 

The Princess of Wales has been keeping a low profile as she continues her recovery from cancer, but I’m pleased to report that she took a trip to the shops with husband William last week. 

The pair were spotted at Norfolk delicatessen Bakers & Larners of Holt, a family-run establishment that has been in existence since 1770.

 It’s renowned for its luxury chocolate, and William took full advantage by buying some. 

Kate once jokingly suggested the chocolate in their household disappeared over Easter because William kept eating it.
