Ryan-Mark Parsons, the youngest-ever candidate on TV’s The Apprentice, is now doing his best to prevent leading Tories from hearing the words: ‘You’re fired!’

The 24-year-old, who was just 19 when he appeared on the hit BBC show, has been campaigning in the general election for the Conservatives across Buckinghamshire.

Ryan-Mark has been posting photos of his canvassing efforts on social media, including a picture of himself and Rishi Sunak last week.

He also revealed how he donned a high-vis jacket in order to attend a rally by the Prime Minister at the headquarters of a cherry picker manufacturers.

The reality TV contestant recently embarked on a career in politics by becoming an intern in the offices of two Conservative MPs.

He is working for Greg Smith and Ben Everitt – who were MPs for Buckingham and Milton Keynes North, respectively, before Parliament was dissolved for the election.

Ryan-Mark has been out on the campaign trail for both his bosses in Buckinghamshire since the 4 July vote was announced.

Last Thursday, Ryan-Mark asked his followers: ‘Wonder who I’m wearing this high-vis for?’

He then posted pictures of Mr Sunak taking part in a Q&A event at the headquarters of Niftylift – worldwide suppliers of cherry pickers, boom lifts and lift platforms – in Milton Keynes.

‘Hey, Rishi,’ Ryan-Mark wrote, before later sharing a photo of him and the PM together.

Ryan-Mark has also shared pictures of himself Mr Smith and Mr Everitt on the campaign trail, as well as his ‘reward’ of a glass of bubbles and a packet of Monster Munch after a long day of meeting voters.

Last week, Ryan-Mark revealed he and Mr Smith had done ‘nearly 260,000 steps collectively since we started campaigning’, adding: ‘And we’ve only just started!’

Speaking to The Sun last month about his political internship, Ryan-Mark said: ‘Since The Apprentice, I’ve always considered a role in Westminster and to be working in the heart of British politics is a dream come true.

‘For the past few years I’ve been a regular face on shows like Good Morning Britain, Sky News, GB News, and Talk. I’m more serious than people think.

‘People tend to have a negative perception of reality stars, certainly people in Westminster have already made their opinions clear.

‘I don’t care about the naysayers. I’m keen to prove those people wrong.

‘I’m looking forward to learning the ropes and keen to make an impact during my time in the House of Commons.

‘This is just the start of Ryan-Mark in Parliament — watch this space over the next few years. I can’t thank Greg and Ben enough for the opportunity.’

Since appearing on The Apprentice, Ryan-Mark has also made headlines by speaking of his harrowing ordeal after having his drink spiked on a night out with friends before being held hostage in his attacker’s car.

Earlier in the general election campaign, the Conservatives came under fire after two men dressed in high-vis clothing at a warehouse appeared to be normal voters asking questions of Mr Sunak – but were later exposed as Tory councillors.
