‘Trolls inform me I seem like a surfboard – however I’m skinny and scorching’

That’s why it’s so baffling when people judge others based on their appearance. Clara Dao is on a mission to demonstrate that beauty resides within us all – regardless of our physical attributes.

Identifying herself as an advocate for “skinny” and “flat-chested” individuals, she utilises her Instagram platform to remind people that you don’t need curves to feel sexy or attractive. Some people naturally have slender frames, and that’s perfectly fine.

She now boasts over 620,000 followers due to her candid approach to discussing body image, but she recently opened up about the online trolling she experiences.

While many people appreciate and relate to her content, some are incredibly cruel to Clara online. She revealed that she receives comments such as: “I don’t get how you can be so confident looking like a surfboard.”

Not only are these words extremely hurtful, they’re also completely unnecessary, and social media users are shocked that people have the audacity to make such remarks online. Since sharing her experience, many have been quick to defend her.

One person commented: “You’re one of the main reasons why I’m so confident.” Another added: “Beautiful women. Come in all shapes and sizes. You are gorgeous. Can we stop basing peoples values on appearance and start judging them on their actions again please.”

A third gushed: “Queen, you are empowering many of us. You are absolutely breathtaking. And none of those insecure haters are taking that away from any of us. Thanks for sharing your light. May we all keep shining.”

While a fourth chimed in with: “Those that say such a thing ain’t never gonna go surfing, if you know what I mean. Keep being confident and amazing as you are. You slay!”

In another post, Clara boldly stated that it’s confidence that “makes people hot”, insisting it’s an inner glow rather than just a look. And she’s living proof of it, as she frequently flaunts her figure in skimpy bikinis and lush lingerie, celebrating her slender frame and proving that beauty isn’t one size fits all.

Clara has been vocal about shrugging off the critics too, declaring she’s over caring about others’ opinions on her looks. She’s all about self-love and won’t let negativity dim her shine.

Taking to Instagram, Clara previously wrote: “I’ve never felt more confident in my life. I can confidently say I am a 10/10 and Idgaf about what anyone else has to say (cause it’s only a projection of their insecurities if they feel the need to body shame or put me down).

“I’m so done with letting other people and their sh***y opinions live rent free in my head. My body is so beautiful and so, so, so precious and does so much more for me than their opinions ever will.

“I love everything about me. I love my hair, the shape of my body, my eyes, my smile, my belly, my chest, EVERYTHING! ! I’m just a girl who’s completely in love with HERSELF, and I hope every girl knows that she can be a 10 simply by believing that she is, simply by loving herself to the core and not letting anyone’s negativity affect her.
