Alec Baldwin and spouse Hilaria ROASTED after asserting actuality present

Alec Baldwin and his wife Hilaria Baldwin were brutally roasted online after announcing they are launching a reality show – as he prepares to go on trial for the fatal Rust shooting.

The series is billed as a way to give fans a glimpse into the couple’s ‘ups and downs’ while they raise their seven children, the eldest of whom is only 10 years old.

Their news was met with widespread mockery as social media users joked that Alec, 66, agreed to the project in order to bankroll his legal defense.

Many observers took aim at Hilaria, 40, by bringing up the notorious scandal when it emerged in 2020 that she had faked her Spanish heritage. 

‘You would think it would be on Telemundo no?’ quipped one commenter on X, formerly Twitter. ‘When does, um…shooting begin,’ wrote another.

Posting a picture of John Travolta spattered with blood in Pulp Fiction, one X user wisecracked: ‘Alec comes home from filming his new indie western film.’

‘Good. We haven’t had enough of Hilaria’s fake accent,’ joked a social media user as another wondered: ‘Does he need money for his legal bills,’ and still another asked: ‘why didn’t they just call it “WE NEED LEGAL FEES: The Show”?’

‘Anything to make people forget about the court case, I see,’ an X user theorized as another exclaimed: ‘Omg! No.’

‘That sounds….Hilariaous….:),’ an X user wrote, while another wondered: ‘When he goes to jail do the cameras follow him into the cell or do they have to wait outside,’ and a third predicted: ‘Divorced by 2027.’

The show is set to premiere in 2025 on TLC and will follow the couple as they ‘open up their lives for the first time and bring everyone in to join in the non-stop love, laughter and drama,’ per a press release. 

In a video posted to the movie star’s account, he and Hilaria sat side by side as she told viewers that they had a big ‘announcement’ to share.

Alec then joked that some fans may assume that they were revealing that they were expecting another child, but added, ‘Good god no.’ 

The couple share Carmen, 10, Rafael, eight, Leonardo, seven, Romeo, six, Eduardo, three, Lucia, three, and Ilaria, 20 months.

Hilaria then insisted that they were ‘done having kids,’ before revealing, ‘This is about our show.’

‘We’re inviting you into our home to experience the ups and downs, the good and bad, the wild and the crazy,’ Alec explained. 

After that, various clips that showed the couple’s seven kids causing chaos in their New York City abode flashed across the screen.

‘Home is the place we love to be most,’ added the star. 

It ended with the family-of-nine all sitting together as they excitedly yelled in unison, ‘We are the Baldwins and we’re coming to TLC.’ 

‘God help you all,’ Alec joked as some of his kids ran towards the camera screaming at the top of their lungs.

‘Alec and Hilaria Baldwin have been making headlines since they were married nearly 12 years ago,’ reads a description of the upcoming show. 

‘In this TLC follow-doc series, Alec and Hilaria invite viewers into the home they share with their seven growing kids. For the first time, they’re opening up their family lives and bringing everyone in to join in the non-stop love, laughter and drama.’

The news comes just weeks after it was revealed that Alec will go to trail for manslaughter over the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, as a judge denied a motion to dismiss the case.

Alec pleaded not guilty and the trial is set for July. If convicted, he faces up to 18 months in prison. 

In a statement following the judge’s decision, his attorneys said, ‘We look forward to our day in court.’ 

On October 21, 2021, just over two weeks after filming got underway, Halyna – a Ukrainian cinematographer who had worked on more than 30 feature films – was tragically shot and killed on set of Rust, after she was hit in the chest by a bullet fired from a ‘prop firearm’ that Alec was holding while rehearsing for a scene. 

According to an affidavit, assistant director David Halls had taken the weapon off of a cart full of props and handed it to Alec, telling him it was a ‘cold gun,’ which meant it didn’t have any real bullets in it. 

However, he told investigators that armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed had opened the gun for him to inspect before he gave it to Alec, but that he only remembered checking three out of five of the rounds. 

While Alec claimed that he did not ‘pull the trigger,’ the FBI later ruled that it was unlikely that the gun fired on its own after undergoing a series of tests. 

Even so, the actor told ABC in December 2021 that he was not responsible for what happened.

‘Someone put a live bullet in a gun, a bullet that wasn’t even supposed to be on the property,’ he said. 

‘Someone is ​responsible for what happened, and I can’t say who that is, but I know it’s not me.

‘I don’t know what happened on that set. I don’t know how that bullet arrived in that gun. I don’t know. 

‘But I’m all for doing anything that will take us to a place where this is less likely to happen again.’

In January, more than two years after the tragedy, it was revealed that Alec had been charged with involuntary manslaughter by a New Mexico grand jury. 

Prosecutors renewed the charge that were originally filed and then dismissed in April 2023, after receiving a new analysis of the gun – which concluded that ‘the trigger had to be pulled or depressed sufficiently to release the fully cocked or retracted hammer of the evidence revolver.’

Rust armorer Hannah was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter on March 6, as the jury ruled that she negligently allowed a live bullet to get into the gun that Alec had used to accidentally shoot Halyna.

Alec and Hilaria started dating in 2011 and wed in 2012. They have since welcomed seven children together.

She also became the step-mom to his daughter Ireland Baldwin, who he shares with his first wife Kim Basinger.
