Gurls Talk provides resources and a safe space for young women to discuss a wide range of issues from mental health, to sexuality, self care, body image and loneliness.
Back in 2021, Emily released her book, which consists of vulnerable essays and is a New York Times bestseller.
The has been very vocal about the sensitive topics she discusses in her book, and said she would be ‘horrified’ by another teenager doing the same photo shoots she did early in her career.
She previously spoke about doing her first topless shoot when she was just 17.
And while she found it ‘validating’ at the time, she knows she would feel very different now seeing someone go through the same experience.
‘I think that I had no sense of what was happening other than that it was validating, and felt really validating for older men who ran a magazine to say, “You’re hot,”‘ she said during the Changes with Annie Macmanus podcast.

Last year, Emily spoke about her plans to inspire other young, divorced women by writing about about her own experiences.
The model told Vogue Australia she’d like to undo some of the ‘stigma’ around divorce.
‘I can’t believe there aren’t more books about first marriages failing. I’ve read a lot of literature about divorce, but it tends to be about families ending after children have grown up,’ she told the publication.
‘I do think so many women are divorcing at younger ages, and it’s such a taboo and there’s such stigma around it,’ Emily continued.
The actress went on to explain that these days, women are more financially stable and don’t need to stay in bad relationships.
‘Our world has changed so much because women are making, if not the same amount of pay, more money than their partners. And then also carrying the burden of the emotional and physical responsibilities, the labour at home,’ she said.
‘Marriage isn’t always as fair of a deal as it used to be, or at least how it was supposed to be. I’m not sure if it was ever a fair deal, so it shouldn’t be shameful for them to walk away from that sh***y deal. I would like to write about that more.’
