Reddit alien idea claims UFOs are ‘big ants flying round in ant hills’
Aliens in UFOs could actually be “ants in giant flying ant hills,” a new conspiracy theory has claimed.
For centuries, humans have often wondered what aliens are actually like, and whether or not they really are little green man flying above Earth. However, without concrete, verified proof, nobody has been able to confirm what they are with 100% certainty.
And this has led the human mind to wander off into the weirdest parts of the world of conspiracy theories – with the latest one really taking the proverbial biscuit. A new thread on the Aliens subreddit has claimed that aliens could just be “giant ants in flying anthills”.

Pondering the claim, user ProfessionalMajor186 wrote: “Has anyone previously considered this hypothesis? In my opinion, it is more logical than the majority of these unusual theories.”
This, of course, set the cat among the pigeons on the site, with many chiming in that they actually believe that the theory could be true – and it could actually be based on a historical mythological story.
One user wrote: “The theory is no more wild than a lot of other stuff out there. The Hopi tribe believed in Ant people who lived underground. Then there was that indigenous Amazon tribesman that was shown a picture of a grey alien and said it was an ant person from underground as well.

“You just need to link it together with everything else and get enough people running with the idea. There’s that underground base in Dulce, New Mexico where the ant people and humans work together.
“The entire continent of Antarctica houses giant underground caverns created by Ant people and many governments have signed treaties with them as well. The UAPs that come from the water started underneath the water in the soil where these Ant people still live, which is called Atlantis.”
And another claimed that the pyramids of Egypt could actually just be “giant ant hills”. A third claimed that Marvel’s Ant Man films are now “low key soft disclosure” . . . while a fourth pointed out that ants are a better choice than “locusts”.
They do say that the truth is stranger than fiction, so who knows.
