Exact date Brits to take pleasure in 27C scorcher this month with hopes of June heatwave
Brits have been told to get out their hats and sunglasses as temperatures are expected to soar up to 27C later this month.
New heat maps have revealed that some areas in the UK will experience the scorching conditions on Tuesday, June 18. According to the WX Charts, London will be hit by the maximum temperature, whilst its surrounding areas will experience mid to low 20s.
The maps highlighted London in the colour red, showing the city has the highest chance of experiencing a heatwave.

It comes as the Met Office explained that the weather might be “slightly above normal” later in the month.

Earlier this week, the BBC suggested that a “warmer trend” could appear between June 1 and June 16.
It stated: “In the third week of June conditions could be rather changeable again as areas of low pressure could approach or surround the UK at times.

There is also the possibility of areas of low pressure moving generally north or north-west of the UK later this week, allowing the high pressure of the Azores High to spread across the southern part of the UK, at least temporarily.”
The UK has been hit with a harsh mix of conditions in recent weeks, with torrential rain followed by sizzling heat.

The Met Office’s Long Range forecast, which ranges from June 11 to June 20, says Brits should expect turbulent weather again. It says: “A general continuation initially, of sunshine and showers for many areas, the odd one could be heavy across the south.
There after a build of pressure will probably bring settled conditions across the country for a few days, with dry, sunny conditions prevailing.”

“While confidence in the timing of any change of type is uncertain, from the middle of the week towards the weekend dry conditions may start to decline with a greater chance of more unsettled weather developing.
Should this happen, wettest conditions are likely to be in the north and west, with driest weather in the south and east. There is still a chance that drier conditions could remain in place more widely. Temperatures are likely to be near or slightly below average at first, perhaps slightly above normal later.”
