Kinky Brits love ‘candy odor of success’ as farting turns into UK’s high fetish
The fetish for flatulence has seen a massive surge in popularity, now ranking as one of the top two globally . . . especially in the UK.
Surpassing more established fetishes such as “giantess” and “tickling,” it even briefly became the most popular fetish in the UK, outperforming the long-standing favourite of bondage. Regionally, this fetish is most prevalent in England, where it ranks second out of over 1,000 fetishes, followed by Northern Ireland.
It’s less popular in Scotland and Wales, according to Clips4Sale. In terms of fetish sales, flatulence is now second only to bondage in terms of worldwide fans.

This fetish is most popular in Brazil and Portugal, where it ranks first among all fetishes. However, the US, UK, Australia, and Canada are not far behind, with the fetish currently ranking second.
“For creators, it’s the sweet smell of success,” says Avery Martin, spokesperson for Clips4Sale. “We first identified the trend in February 2020, when sales first really started rising.
“Maybe it was the close quarters of shut down, or maybe the loss of scent so many experienced with early COVID, but sales jumped more than 50% alone that year, and its popularity just kept spreading. You can’t deny its power.”
Two decades ago, when C4S was first launched, the fetish for farting was relatively minor, sitting at 73 on the C4S Fetish 100 list of most popular fetishes. Fast forward to today, and it’s now ranked #2.
In just the last year, searches for farts have skyrocketed by a whopping 430%, with sales also seeing a significant increase of nearly 40%. It’s a fetish that’s certainly not running out of gas.
Clips4Sale, which was launched in 2023, is the world’s leading platform for kink and fetish content, boasting over 8 million clips that cover more than two thousand fetishes, and attracting over 20 million visitors each month.
