New date set for Mike Tyson and Jake Paul’s bout after summer season conflict postponed
Mike Tyson and Jake Paul’s exhibition bout has been given a new date.
The upcoming bout was originally scheduled for July 20, until Tyson, 57, suffered a medical emergency on a cross-country flight. And it’s now been announced the pair will square off on November 15 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
“Although we had to postpone the fight, I will resume training shortly,” Tyson said in a statement. “I am thankful to the medical staff that treated me and to [Most Valuable Promotions], Netflix, and AT&T Stadium for working diligently to find the best reschedule date for all parties.

“While we have a new date, the result will be the same no matter when we fight. Jake Paul is getting knocked out. On Friday, November 15, watch this in-person at AT&T Stadium or live on Netflix.”
The rescheduled date comes after a report from Sports Illustrated’s Chris Mannix – who claims there was a ‘genuine concern’ that Tyson wouldn’t be medically fit to face Paul.

“Mike Tyson is 57 years old; he’s almost 58 years old,’ Mannix told ‘The Rich Eisen’. “They’re saying it’s a minor ulcer issue, but I don’t think anything’s minor at that stage of your life, especially when it comes to putting yourself in the proper shape to fight a professional boxing match.”
While, according to The Sun, Paul was offered a replacement bout against Tyson’s last opponent, Roy Jones Jr. The report stated that Jones is now staying ready in case he is needed in the ring one more time after Tyson’s health scare.
A previous statement from MVP suggested that tickets will be honoured for the new date and anyone unable to attend is eligible for a refund.
